This exclusive tour will give you the opportunity to visit some of the major sites in Rome and St. Peter’s Square & Basilica.

An official guide will meet you at St. Peter’s Station (the Vatican area); your exclusive tour starts with an orientation drive of Rome by coach; at the end of the orientation drive, guests are dropped off at Colle Oppio. After 5 minutes walk you reach St. Peter in Chains, which contains one of the best works of art by Michelangelo, the Moses. Nearby the church you will visit the Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre ever built in Rome; it was originally called Flavian Amphitheatre, since it was built by the Royal Family Flavia. Started by the Emperor Vespasian in the year 72 A.D. it was finished in the year 80 A.D. during the reign of the Emperor Titus.

You will be transferred to the Vatican Area to visit St. Peter’s square, created by Bernini and considered one of the most beautiful square in the world, and the Basilica, Christendom’s most magnificent church, begun in 1452 on the site where St. Peter was buried. Throughout the following 200 years, such Renaissance masters as Bramante, Michelangelo, Raphael and Bernini worked on its design and created an unparalleled masterpiece. Of special note are Michelangelo’s Pietà and the bronze canopy over the high altar by Bernini. The immense dome was designed by Michelangelo.

After some free time, you will reach the station where your exclusive train Roma Express will take you back to the port of Civitavecchia. A courtesy service may be offered on board under request.
